October 2017 | Female Student-Athlete of the Month
(Nashua, N.H.) The Rivier University Athletic Department is pleased to announce that junior Hayley Macken (Clifton Park, N.Y.) has been selected as the Female Student-Athlete of the Month for October 2017.
Macken was selected after guiding the Women’s Volleyball team to a 10-5 record in the month of October and securing the third overall seed in the ever tough Great Northeast Athletic Conference Tournament. She appeared in 35 sets over her 11 games played compiling 310 assists (8.86 assists per set), 43 kills and 11 service aces to go along with her defensive prowess of 87 digs and 14 total blocks. Macken dished out 30+ assists in five games during the month including a high of 46 assists in a 3-1 win over Saint Joseph’s College (Maine).
This is the second time in her career that Macken has been selected as the Rivier Female Student-Athlete of the Month (September 2016).
