GAME ONE:
BOSTON, MA: Rivier softball lost to Emmanuel College yesterday in conference play on the road.
THE BASICS:

- Score: Emmanuel 10, Rivier 5
- Records: Rivier (2-11, 0-1 GNAC), Emmanuel (8-9, 1-0 GNAC)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Christina Panagiotopoulos (Lowell, MA) started off the scoring for the Raiders with a single to left field, pushing Courtney Marioles (Hudson, NH) home in the first inning. Oliva Conti of the Saints singled and then advanced to third base on a throwing error, causing an unearned run. Christyna Winstead hit a two-run homerun, making the score 3-1.
- In the second inning, Marioles earned her second hit of the day, singling to left field driving in Josie Maggiore (North Hampton, NH). Emmanuel's Julyanne Pacheco earned a double and 2 RBIs, increasing the score to 5-2.
- In the third inning, Panagiotopoulos hit a home run to left center for Rivier. Saints' Winstead answered back with her own home run to left center in the bottom of the third.
- Raiders' Panagiotopoulos had her third hit of the day in the fifth inning on a double to left center, scoring Sarah Frazier (Londonderry, NH). Olivia Couto (Fairhaven, MA) singled down the left field line pushing Panagiotopoulos across the plate.
- Lylah Niederberger of Emmanuel reached first base on an error and then advanced to second, which caused Rebecca Markie to score in the sixth inning. Conti hit a three one home run to center field securing the win for the Saints.
- The Raiders were unable to score in the seventh inning.
- Sydney Greeno (Shirley, MA) of Rivier was tagged with the loss, pitching six innings, and earning three strikeouts. Tianna Dawe of Emmanuel was granted the win and Madison Hinkley collected the save.

- Panagiotopoulos was 3-for-4, with 3 RBIs 2 runs
- Marioles was 2-for-4, with 1 RBI and 1 run
GAME TWO:
BOSTON, MA: Rivier softball lost in extra innings to Emmanuel College yesterday in conference play on the road.
THE BASICS:
- Date: 4/2/23
- Score: Emmanuel 8, Rivier 7
- Records: Rivier (2-12, 0-2 GNAC), Emmanuel (9-9, 2-0 GNAC)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In the first inning, Sarah Frazier (Londonderry, NH) homered to left center putting the Raiders up 1-0.
- Kylee Caetano (New Bedford, MA) hit a home run in the second inning putting Riv up 2-0.
- In the fourth inning, Emmanuel got on the scoreboard with a single to center field from Emma Crisafulli, sending Olivia Conti home.
- Taylor Chelak of the Saints doubled in the fifth inning which tied the game at 2-2.
- Olivia Couto (Fairhaven, MA) hit Rivier's third home run of the game in the sixth inning. Courtney Marioles (Hudson, NH) caused Caetano to score by reaching first on an error.
- Avry Nelson (Methuen, MA) kept the scoring going for the Raiders with a single up the middle pushing Couto home. Kaeleigh Arington (North Reading, MA) then singled down the left field line earning two RBIs, making the score 7-2 in the seventh inning. Maegan Amsler walked, forcing in a run for Emmanuel. Madison Hinkley homered to left center for the Saints, which tied the game at 7-7 in the bottom of the seveth.
- The Raiders were unable to score in the eighth inning. Chelak had the game winning hit for the Saints, driving in Amanada Penney.
- Marioles of Rivier was marked with the loss. Hinkley of Emmanuel gained the win, pitching just over one inning. Mackenzie Briggs had eight strikeouts for the Saints.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Caetano was 2-for-3, with 3 runs and 1 RBI
- Couto was 2-for-4, with 2 runs and 1 RBI
- Nelson was 2-for-4, with 1 run and 1 RBI
