MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Rivier softball team dropped a pair of games on Tuesday afternoon at the Space Coast Sports Complex, falling 7-1 to Muskingum in the morning contest before suffering a 7-1 setback to Baldwin Wallace later in the day.
With the results, the Raiders moved to 0-4 on the season with six games left in spring training action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Muskingum struck first in the opening inning with a sacrifice fly, but the Raiders responded immediately in the bottom half.
- Senior Hayley Rapaglia drew a walk and later came around to score when Senior Avry Nelson delivered an RBI single up the middle to tie the game at 1-1.
- Rivier threatened in the second inning when first-year Emma Politz singled notching her first collegiate career hit while junior Sophia Quinlan followed with a walk, but the Raiders were unable to capitalize with runners in scoring position.
- The Muskies pulled ahead in the third inning to take a 4-1 lead.
- Muskingum added two more runs in the fourth inning and another in the sixth to extend the advantage and secure the victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Baldwin Wallace opened the scoring in the first inning before adding two runs in the second to take an early 3-0 lead.
- The Yellow Jackets broke the game open in the third inning with a three-run home run to push the advantage to 6-0.
- Baldwin Wallace added another run in the fourth inning to extend the lead to seven.
- Rivier broke through in the bottom of the fourth when Rapaglia reached on a walk and later scored on an RBI single to right field from junior Liv Harnish recording her first collegiate career hit.
- The Raiders continued to battle offensively, drawing several walks late in the game, but were unable to close the gap.
