NASHUA, N.H. – The Rivier softball team split a non-conference doubleheader against Wentworth on Thursday evening at Raider Diamond, rallying for a 6-5 walk-off victory in the opener before falling 13-0 in the nightcap.
With the split, the Raiders moved to 13-15 on the season, while the Leopards shifted to 7-22.
Rivier 6, Wentworth 5
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Wentworth took control early, plating three runs in the second inning and adding two more in the fourth to take a 5-1 lead.
- Rivier got on the board in the second as senior Kyleigh Guerette delivered an RBI bunt single.
- The Raiders stormed back in the fifth, highlighted by an RBI double from senior Hayley Rapaglia and a two-RBI double from junior Sophia Quinlan to cut the deficit to one.
- Guerette tied the game later in the inning with her second RBI bunt single of the contest.
- In the bottom of the seventh, Rivier loaded the bases before senior Avry Nelson delivered a walk-off RBI single to complete the comeback victory.

- Rivier totaled 12 hits in the win.
- Guerette led the offense with three hits and two RBI.
- Quinlan added a double and two RBI, while Nelson recorded two hits, including the game-winner.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Wentworth struck first in the opening inning before breaking the game open with a four-run second inning.
- After a one-hour weather delay, the Leopards never looked back.
- The Leopards added two runs in the third to extend the lead to 7-0.
- Wentworth put the game out of reach with a six-run fifth inning to secure the run-rule victory.
- Rivier generated baserunners throughout the game but was unable to push a run across.
