Ellie Goyette has served as the head coach of the Rivier men's and women's cross country teams since July 2024.

In her first season with the Raiders, Goyette coached doctoral standout Emma McEvoy to a tremendous season as McEvoy became the first Rivier student-athlete since 1998 to win an individual championship as she crossed the finish line first at the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship.

McEvoy was named the GNAC Runner of the Year with a time of 23:48:30 and was named to the First Team All-Conference.

Both McEvoy and first-year Ayla Biscan competed at the NCAA East Regional for the women’s team as sophomore Cameron Ingram and first-year Edgar McIntosh ran for the men’s squad.

Goyette graduated from Bryant University in 2021 with a bachelor's in human resource management. During her time in Smithfield, she was a member of the Bulldogs' Division I cross country and track and field programs for four years.

Goyette is no stranger to the area having attended Bishop Guertin High School from 2013 to 2017. During her time with the Cardinals, she earned team MVP, Lowell Sun All-Star, and All-State accolades in her first year before helping the squad bring home a state championship in her sophomore season.
