Rivier University

John Moore will be the bench coach for Rivier in 2013. CoachMoore brings with him over 35 years of playing/coaching experiencewith him from around the greater Boston area. He is a graduate ofMinuteman Regional in Lexington, Ma he was named to theCommonwealth Athletic Conference 1st team All Stars squad 3 yearsin a row in both baseball and hockey and was named league MVP hissenior year in baseball. John was also a 2 sport athlete at RogerWilliams University in Bristol, RI.

Coach Moore has been involved in the Greater Boston Baseball sceneas a player or coach since 1985 when he played and pitched for MassEnvelope in the Boston Park League. During the late 80's and 90'she played within the Intercity League for the Augustine A'sfranchise and briefly for Elm Supply - Cassell Club. He got hisstart in coaching in 1985 within the Somerville Little Leaguesystem and hasn't stopped coaching since. Coach Moore has beeninvolved with "Winterball" which is a charity baseball game playedin December to help benefit the Greater Boston "Toys For Tots"program. That game had its origin with the Boston Men's BaseballLeague but has since been opened up for all greater Boston baseballplayers including the Yawkey League where he has been an assistantcoach for the Malden Bulldogs since 2009. Coach Moore currentlyresides in Revere, MA with his wife Diane and 2 children(Samantha 17 & Zack 14).
