VAN CURA REACHES MAJOR MILESTONE

Colleen Van Cura became only the second player in Raider history to reach 1,000 digs in a career.  The 5'5 senior libero from Niantic, Connecticut scooped up a team high 29 digs in a 5 set loss to Emmanuel College to help her reach the major milestone and propel her into second place for digs in a career in the Raider record books.  Van Cura was tremendous for the Raiders in the loss averaging 5.8 digs per game and passing a perfect 28 for 28 on receive.   Freshmen Danielle Stoodley and Lauren Saccoccio combined for 23 digs to round off the defense.  On offense the Raiders were paced by senior Nicole Hersey with a team high 17 kills and by sophomore Nicole Rodriguez who punched in 10 kills on 23 attempts with just 3 errors for a team high .304 hitting percentage.
