Nashua NH-Rivier College (8-6 overall; 0-0 GNAC) defeated Rhode Island College 3-1 to stop their losing streak at two games and jumps back into the win column.  Seniors Nicole Hersey and Erin McIver paced the Raiders with 12 and 8 kills respectively along with 1 block apiece.  McIver, a 5'8 middle hitter from Haverhill MA, had only 1 hitting error with her 8 kills on 17 swing attempts for a tidy .412 hitting percentage.  Sophomore Brittni Taylor tallied 5 kills and 9 digs in just 3 games while Nicole Rodriguez once again led the Raiders serving attack with 4 ace serves.    Senior Colleen Van Cura was her usual steady self with 15 digs in just 3 sets while newcomers Emileigh Cenedella and Danielle Stoodley combined for 18 digs in the back row. 
 
Rivier extended their win streak to two games with a 3-0 sweep of Framingham State College.  Rivier's four seniors led the Raiders in four separate categories to pace the Blue and White.  Laura Ciummo's 29 assists, Nicole Hersey's 11 kills, Colleen Van Cura's 14 digs and Erin McIver's 4 ace serves downed the Rams of FSC.  Junior Becky Gautreau passed well all match and picked up 3 digs while Emileigh Cenedella stepped into the outside hitter's position to bomb in 6 kills while lipping 12 digs.
