CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Lesley University was able to score 41
seconds into the game to get a lead that they would not relinquish
in a 3-0 victory over Rivier College Saturday afternoon. The
win improves Lesley's record to 3-0-0 while Rivier drops its first
contest of the 2008 season.
Jodi Fralick (Woburn, Mass.) found the back on the net off a
lead pass from senior midfielder Lani Cabral-Pini (Wilmington,
Mass.) less than a minute into the game. It was Fralick's
sixth goal of the season.
The Lynx and Raiders would remained locked at 1-0 for the
remainder of the half, but freshman Jenna Fralick (Woburn, Mass.)
would provide offensive pressure in the second half to give Lesley
some much needed breathing room.
Almost two minutes into the second half, Jenna Fralick scored
off another assist from Cabral-Pini and sister Jodi Fralick.
Jenna would score her third goal of the season at 53:17, an
unassisted goal, to give the Lynx the 3-0 lead.
Defensively for the Lynx, backs Tracy Potter (Acton, Mass.),
Savannah Dunay (Effort, Pa.), Sarah Etzel (Manorville, N.Y.), and
Cathryn Folkestad (Ipswich, Mass.) were able to deflect any
offensive attempt from the Raiders.
