Raiders run past AmCats

Rivier 70     Anna Maria 25

The Raiders (16-8; 7-4) played solid fundamental defense while holding Anna Maria to just 9 field goals for the game. Riv struggled on the offensive end as they connected on only 35% of their attempts (18% from deep). Again, it was the Raider defense that produced easy scoring opportunities. Riv had 17 steals which resulted in 28 points for the Blue and Gray.

Junior Jess Mellen led the charge for the Raiders. She did a little bit of everything as she scored 15 points, pulled down a game-high 15 rebounds to go with game-highs in assists (5) and steals (7). Freshman Danielle Stoodley dropped in a career-high 17 points while contributing 4 rebounds and 4 steals. Junior Blair Carpenter chipped in with 15 points while sophomore Steph Adams grabbed 10 rebounds (6 offensive). Senior Justine Nims and freshman Allie Parent both played well as they combined for 15 points and 17 rebounds.
