HANSEN REACHES MAJOR MILESTONE

No-5 Rivier College (5-0 GNAC; 17-1 overall) defeated Emerson College in three straight sets to remain undefeated in conference play.  In the match, junior Zach Hansen became only the second player in Raider history to reach the 3,000 assists mark.  The 6'1 setter from Shelton, CT dished out 12 assists in just one game to push his total to 3,010 for his career.  First year player Alex Xenidis was a difference maker from start to finish as he put down 5 kills on just 8 attempts with no errors for a .625 hitting percentage.  The 6'1 middle hitter also led the Raiders with 3 blocks and chipped in with 4 digs and 2 service aces.  Sophomore hitter Chris Deluca led all Raiders with 8 kills while freshmen Jeffrey Matos and Andrew Paine contributed with a combined 11 kills.  Freshman libero Chris Convertito scooped up 5 digs while classmate Drew Corwin distributed 17 assists and added 4 service aces and 6 digs for the Blue and Gray.
