Raiders shoot down Lasers

The Raiders played 40 minutes of tough, hard-nosed defense which helped to propel their already potent offense. Riv held Lasell to 26% from the field (17% from beyond the arc). The Raiders started hot on the offensive end shooting a blistering 56% from the floor in the opening stanza while pouring in 54 points. Riv kept up the offensive barrage in the final 20 minutes as they finished the game shooting at 48% clip from the floor and 85% from the free throw line.
 
The Raiders placed 5 players in double figures led by a game-high 27 points from junior Blair Carpenter. Junior Monica White ran the point to near perfection and finished with 20 points and 7 rebounds. Senior Justine Nims had an outstanding all-around game as she tallied 19 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Junior Jess Mellen and reigning GNAC Rookie of the Week Allie Parent both filled up the stat sheet. Mellen finished with 13 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals while Parent added 11 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals and a game-high 6 assists. Sophomores Steph Adams and Courtney Contigiani helped the Raiders control the boards as they combined for 11 rebounds.
