In what has become a disturbing trend, the Raiders (12-5; 3-2)
played with a lack of defensive intensity for the first twenty
minutes. They made a valiant effort in the final stanza but the
Wildcats made clutch free throws down the stretch to pull out the
win.
The Raiders were led by senior Jess Mellen
(Rockland, MA) and freshman Mackenzie
Brooks (Colebrook, NH). Mellen dropped in
18 points to go with 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Brooks continues to
be dominant down low as she pulled down a game-high 16 rebounds (9
offensive) to go with 7 points.
The Raiders look to halt their 2-game skid as they travel to
Newbury College on Tuesday night. Tip is slated for 7pm.
