Rivier College (7-0 GNAC; 14-3 overall) defeated Mount Ida College in three straight sets to win their seventh GNAC match of the year. Sophomore's Alex Xenidis (Shelton, CT) and Andrew Paine (Quincy, MA) led the Raiders with stellar play combining for 30 kills, 7 digs, 4 blocks, and 4 ace serves in the three sets. Junior libero Steve Wood (Spencerport, NY) played well with 6 digs while passing 25 of 26 attempts and first year player Francis Dallatore (Wilmington, DE) scooped up 7 digs out of the back row. First year setter Jamison Chue (Newton, MA) dished out 29 assists with 7 digs, 2 blocks, and 2 kills in just 2 sets while sophomore outside hitter Chris Convertito (Trumbull, CT) tooled 2 kills and picked up 7 digs.

The Raiders will travel to Endicott College for the Endicott Invitational on Saturday 2/20 and Sunday 2/21. On 2/20 Rivier will face New Jersey City University at 3:00 pm followed by the winner of the D'Youville College and SUNY New Paltz match at 5:00 pm.
