Nashua, NH - The bats went silent for Riv (29-2; 23-1) as they managed just 1 run on 4 hits. That lone run was scored in the fifth inning after senior Brenna Campbell (Nashua, NH) walked, stole second and was brought home on an error by their outfield. Senior Monica White (Augusta, ME), junior Amanda Ryan (W. Bridgewater, MA), freshman Taylor Cournoyer (Mansfield, MA) and Campbell were the only Raiders to get a hit. Monica White was the hard-luck loser as she gave up just 1 earned run while striking out 13 Monks.

Game 2 - The Raiders again managed just 4 hits but a homerun and a triple did all the damage for the Blue and Gray. Senior Monica White (Augusta, ME) got on base to lead off the bottom of the first inning. Freshman Katie Bachinski (Northfield, MA) stepped to the plate and belted her conference-leading 11th round-tripper over the centerfield fence. St. Joe's cut the lead in half in the top of the fourth on a solo shot to nearly the exact same spot. Freshman Marissa Mercier (N. Smithfield, RI) hit a 1-out single through the left side in the bottom of the sixth inning to get things started. Junior Amanda Ryan (W. Bridgewater, MA) walked and a groundout advanced both runners. With 2 outs, freshman pinch hitter Mandy Thornton (Hanover, MA) took a 1-1 offering and blasted a 2-run triple over the rightfielders head. Monica White went the distance to improve to 23-1 on the season. She scattered 3 hits while K'ing an additional 11 batters.

The Raiders ARE NOT DONE YET as they will host the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Tournament starting Friday. Times and opponents are TBA.
