Nashua, NH- The Daniel Webster Eagles got their 5th
win in a row by defeating Raiders 16-1in each other's final
game of the year. Rivier goalie Matt Besaw (Glenn
Falls, NY) made it difficult for the Eagles to find the
back of the net as he only allowed 4 goals on 18 shots in the first
quarter, but the Eagles kept the offense rolling as they managed to
get another 6 goals on 22 shots in the 2nd quarter.
The Raiders finally got a shot to go in when Ian Repucci
(Hall, MA) took a pass from Randy Perrine
(Merrimack, NH) and put it in the back of the net for the
Raiders first goal of the game. The heat of the day seemed to
takes it told on the Raiders in the second half as they allowed 6
goals on 47 shots to the Eagles.
Alex McKenzie (Nashua, NH) had the hot hand for the Eagles as he
was able to find the back of the net 6 times in the game while
adding an assist for 7 points in the game. Justin Chiulli
(Saugus, MA) played off the bench as he came in and contributed to
the Eagles offensive attack with 3 goals. Tommy Driscoll
(South Boston, MA) got the win for the Eagles where he made 3 saves
on the day and was later replaced by Lucas Ragusa (E. Longmeadow,
MA) who made one save on the day.
Besaw ended his fine season with a career high 37 saves in the
game while Repucci was able to get his first goal of the
season.
The Raiders will not play again till next year where they will
be a part of the new GNAC Lacrosse conference where the Eagles will
be a part of as well.
