NEC tops Rivier, 5-0 in NAC action

(Henniker, NH) The Rivier University Field Hockey team lost a tough 5-0 decision this evening at New England College.

Sophomore goaltender Makenzie Flagg (Shirley, MA) recorded 10 saves in the loss while freshman goalie Danielle Moran (San Diego, CA) stopped all six shots she faced in net.

The Raiders (2-14 overall, 0-8 NAC) had some chances to break the shutout as they had two shots saved by NEC players with an open net. Sophomore Presleigh Skelley (Wolfeboro, NH) was able to snap off two shots on net.

With the victory, New England College was able to capture the regular season title.

Rivier will travel to Regis College on Tuesday for a 6pm non-conference matchup.
