(Rochester, NY) Led by an 18 kill performance by Billy Gimello, the Nazareth College Flyers defeated the Rivier College Raiders, 3-1 tonight in Rochester, NY.

The Raiders (10-5 overall, 5-0 GNAC) had three players record double-digit kills in the game. Sophomore standout Aaron Almario (Alhambria, CA) was the kill leader as he recorded 15 on the night. Both senior Alex Xenidis (Shelton, CT) and freshman Chris Markuson (Cupertino, CA) had 12 and 11 respectively. Junior Steve Visentin (Cheshire, CT) was the assist leader with 42 while senior libero Chris Convertito (Trumbull, CT) had 8 digs. Fellow libero, sophomore Matt Bynon (Burnt Hills, NY) recorded 7 digs.

The Raiders will return to action tomorrow afternoon as they travel over to Medaille College to participate it in a tri match along with D'Youville College. First game against Medaille is slated for 12pm while the D'Youville matchup will take place at 2pm.
