(Nashua, NH) The Rivier University Men's Soccer allowed just one goal which was the difference maker in the 1-0 loss this evening to crosstown foe Daniel Webster College, under the lights at Raider Field.

About 140 spectators were on hand to watch the Raiders battle the Eagles as both teams were evenly matched throughout the 90 minute contest.

Daniel Webster freshman Ian Hutchinson (Litchfield, NH) was able to give the Eagles the win as his goal at 12:42 stood to be the game winner. He was able to be the beneficiary of a loose ball in front of the net in which he was able to sneak by Rivier freshman goaltender Gary Archambault (Auburn, NH).

Archambault finished the game with 8 saves – including two terrific saves late in the contest to keep the Raiders within striking distance. Daniel Webster's Sean Hamilton (Sophomore/Brookline, NH) stopped all five shots that he faced in earning the shutout victory.

Next up for the Raiders, who fall to 1-6-1 on the season, will be a road game at Albertus Magnus College in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference contest. Game time is slated to begin at 3:15pm. Daniel Webster will return to the pitch as they host Becker College in a New England Collegiate Conference contest at 1pm this Saturday.
