(Nashua, NH) The Rivier University Women's Soccer team fell at home this evening as the visiting Lasers of Lasell College was able to win a Great Northeast Athletic Conference contest by a 5-1 score.

The Lasers got on the board early as Molly Masiero was able to head a cross from Arianna DiOrio inside the six minute mark. Bridget Munnelly was also credited with an assist as her pass set up DiOrio.

Rivier was able to the knot the game at one when sophomore Holly Slocum (Holden, MA) set up senior Lauren Tamposi (Hollis, NH) who was able to beat the Lasell goaltender with a nice move inside the box.

Lasell was able to take the lead for good when Masiero netted her second goal on a high shot that floated over the head of the Raider goalkeeper.

Bridget Lynch then capped the first half scoring as she had a perfect touch on a pass inside the six from DiOrio.

Lasell would score two more times in the second half as Bridget Lynch got her second goal of the night and Kayla Lynch got her first. Both goals were unassisted.

Rivier senior goaltender Cassandra Brown (Somersworth, NH) made seven saves on the evening while Lasell's Leah Pappalardo also made seven saves.

The Raiders, now 5-10-1 overall and 3-7-0 in the GNAC, will finish the regular season on Saturday afternoon as they host Simmons College. It will also be the Senior Night game with kickoff scheduled for 5pm. Lasell (12-3-1, 9-0-1 GNAC) will also be in GNAC action on Saturday as they host Saint Joseph's College in a 12pm kickoff.
