Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's Soccer battles to scoreless tie with the Wildcats

(Nashua, NH) The Rivier University Men's Soccer team opened up Great Northeast Athletic Conference play this afternoon with a 4pm start against Johnson and Wales University. After 110 minutes of play, the teams remained scoreless and it was the effort from Rivier freshman goalkeeper Gary Archambault (Auburn, NH) who preserved the tie.

Archambault made two spectacular saves in the final minutes of regulation as he earned his third point in net over the first three games. He finished the game with nine saves, six of which came in the second half.

The Raiders (1-1-1) managed to get just two shots on net as JWU's Jon Robbins made both stops to remain undefeated on the season.

The Men's Soccer team will return to the pitch following a few days off as they look to climb back above .500 with a date at Colby-Sawyer. Game time is set for 4pm on Wednesday afternoon in New London, NH.
