(Nashua, N.H.) The Rivier University Men's Basketball team took a four point lead into the locker room but they were unable to corral the New England College Pilgrims second half offense in the 75-66 non-conference loss this evening at Muldoon Gymnasium. The Pilgrims netted 51 second half points en route to their third victory of the season (3-1). Rivier now sits at 1-3 heading into Thanksgiving weekend.

Senior Jake Nelson (Nashua, N.H.) led the Raider offense as he shot 6-for-12 from the floor for 15 points. Freshman Andre Ruff (Lowell, Mass.) added 13 points and junior Cullen Donovan (Wethersfield, Conn.) chipped in with 12 points. Sophomore Javon Williams (Nashua, N.H.) played well off the bench as he contributed 10 points in 15 minutes. Junior Edward Soucie (South Ryegate, Vt.) collected 6 rebounds for the team high.

Junior Dezron Wilson (Hartford, Conn.) was the spark plug for New England College has he scored 22 of his game high 24 points in the second half. He was a perfect 12-for-12 from the charity stripe while collecting the game high with 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Senior Joel DeMadet (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and senior Robin Wilson (Biddeford, Maine) also provided some offensive pop as they scored 14 and 13 points respectively.

The Raiders will enjoy a full week off before they host Emmanuel College on Tuesday, December 2nd in the opening Great Northeast Athletic Conference contest of the season. Game time is set for 7:30pm inside the Muldoon. New England College will travel to Boston, Mass. for their next scheduled contest on Sunday, November 30 at Suffolk University.
