(Pittsford, N.Y.) The Raiders of Rivier University were victorious in the 2014 Woodcliffe Hotel and Spa Invitational as they defeated Goucher College, 65-37 in the tournament's consolation game on the campus of Saint John Fisher College.

Senior Deanna Purcell (Hudson, N.H.) was selected to the All-Tournament team as she led the team with 21 points and 11 rebounds. She totaled a whopping 53 points in the team's two tournament games. Sophomore Savanna Butterfield (Londonderry, N.H.) shot 50% from the floor as she totaled 14 points and classmate Caitlyn Perry (Nashua, N.H.) recorded 12 points. Sophomore Rebecca DeBaldo (Pelham, N.H.) also shined bright as she had 8 points and 8 rebounds for Rivier. Junior Anjulisa Rhodes (Lawrence, Mass.) chipped in with 6 points off the bench.

Goucher was led by Briana Bull who had 9 points and 10 rebounds. Olivia Nono contributed with 9 points and 8 rebounds while Joyce Woolen added 6 points off the bench.

Rivier (2-5 overall) will enjoy a tough three game week as they close out the first half of their 2014-15 schedule. Their next contest will be at home against Framingham State on Tuesday evening, 5:30pm.
