Nashua, NH – Eight different goal scorers led a balanced attack as Rivier topped Daniel Webster, 18-4 in a matchup of intracity women's lacrosse programs Monday afternoon at Raider Field.

DWC, serving as the home squad, dropped to 0-4 overall while Rivier improved to 3-6.

Amanda Wickens (Tyngsboro, Mass.) led all Raiders with three goals and two assists, adding a game-best six draw controls, while Jocelyn Park (Londonderry, N.H.) netted four scores. Veronica Jones (West Chesterfield, N.H.) picked up three goals and an assist. Catherine Connolly (Nashua) added two goals and two assists.

DWC picked up its four goals from different sources with Alexis Pavelock (Saratoga Spring, N.Y.), Madison Platte (Manchester, N.H.), Amanda Dargie (Melbourne, Fla.) and Madeline Roulier (Pittsfield, Mass.) all tickling the twine.

Kassandra Scanlon-Napier (Bowmanville, Ont.) made 14 saves for DWC in net, while Makenzie Flagg (Shirley, Mass.) stopped five shots for the Raiders.

Rivier finished with a 32-9 shots on goal advantage and added total advantages in groundballs (34-26) and a decisive difference in draw controls (19-2).

The Raiders scored three times in the opening 5:32 with goals from Shae O'Connell (Bridgewater, Mass.), Park, and Connolly. Pavelock would answer for DWC in the 7th minute for a 3-1 game.

But Rivier rattled off the next five to take command before Roulier added her score for an 8-2 game with 5:45 remaining. Park would pick up two of the next four Rivier strikes and the Raiders led 12-2 at the break.

Connolly opened the second scoring 58 ticks in before DWC followed with two straight coming from Platte and Dargie with 18:34 and 15:51 left, respectively for a 13-4 score, but Rivier followed to close it out with the final five including two from Wickens.

DWC is off until Thursday when they are tentatively scheduled to host UMaine Farmington while Rivier hosts Simmons in a GNAC meeting on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
