FRANKLIN, MA: The Rivier women's basketball team took down Dean College tonight in their first GNAC matchup.  

THE BASICS:

- Date: 2/10/2022

- Score: Rivier 76, Dean 59

- Records: Rivier (9-10, 5-7 GNAC), Dean (2-13, 0-11 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  The Raiders set the tone early in the first half, scoring a game best 25 points in the second quarter to give them a 16-point lead going into the break. Their largest lead saw a 28-point advantage at the start of the fourth quarter. Dean did close the gap with the remainder of the fourth by outscoring Rivier 21-13. However, that wouldn't be enough to erase the large deficit.

- Lyric Grumblatt (Manchester, NH) Had 17 points of her 24 in the first half of the game. Anna Stenger (Weare, NH) had a solid game off the bench with 12 points with three assists and steals.

- For the Bulldogs, Alexah Potter was their top player of the night with 23 points and 16 rebounds.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

-  Shooting %: Dean 39.7, Rivier 36.5

-  Rebounds: Dean 50, Rivier 40

-  Assists: Rivier 18, Dean 15
