NORTHFIELD, VT: The Rivier men's basketball team was defeated in a comeback fashion this evening to Norwich University during conference action.  

THE BASICS:

- Date: 2/15/2022

- Score: Norwich 68, Rivier 64

- Records: Norwich (13-10, 8-7 GNAC), Rivier (8-13, 4-10 GNAC)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

-  A tale of two halves for the Cadets against the visiting Raiders. Rivier took an eight-point lead into the half at 31-23. The Raiders starting five combined for all of the team's points, led by Miles Gillette (Washington, DC) with ten points and six rebounds.

- The second half saw Rivier reach their largest lead of 10 at the 15:06 mark. After that, the Cadets started to chip away and eventually took their first lead with 5:34 left in the game. They never looked back and extended their lead to eight before the final buzzer. Donovan Lewis Jr played a key role in Norwich's success in the second half, scoring 14 points. He helped them score 45 points to the Raiders 33.  

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

-  Lewis had the game high with 20 points along with eight rebounds and four assists.

-  Kohlby Murray had an additional 18 points for Norwich.

-  Gillette finished with 19 points and 12 rebounds.
