STANDISH, ME: The Rivier men's basketball team fell to GNAC opponent Saint Joseph's College this afternoon.
THE BASICS:

- Score: SJC 80, Rivier 64
- Records: SJC (7-5, 3-1 GNAC), Rivier (2-12, 0-6 GNAC)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The two teams swapped scoring runs midway through the first half, with Rivier taking the first swing on a 15-3 surge spanning three minutes to claim a 17-11 advantage with 12:35 left in the opening frame. Trailing 27-21 with 8:50 before the break, Saint Joseph's closed out the half with an 18-4 outburst and went into intermission with a 39-31 lead.
- The Second half would see the Monks build on their lead to get the final. St. Joe's was led by Nicholas Curtis, who had a game-high 23 points. John Paul Frazier added 12 points of his own in the win.
- The Raiders offense was run by Nikolas Pignone (Stoneham, MA) and Robenson Baguidy (Goffstown, NH). Both scored 13 points in the effort, with Baguidy pulling down six boards as well.
