GAME ONE:
AUBURNDALE, MA: Rivier softball lost to Lasell University today in game one of their double header on the road in non-conference play.
THE BASICS:

- Score: Lasell 6, Rivier 5
- Records: Rivier (4-13, 2-2 GNAC), Lasell (12-7, 2-0 GNAC)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Raiders lead the Lasers up until the fourth inning where four of their runs were earned.
- In the first inning, Christina Panagiotopoulos (Lowell, MA) collected 2 RBIs from a single to right field for the Raiders. Lasell took one run back by scoring on a wild pitch.
- Sydney Greeno (Shirley, MA) and Kylee Caetano (New Bedford, MA) earned back-to-back doubles with an RBI apiece in the second inning.
- In the third inning, Lasell answered back with one run from a single to left field.
- Caetano reached first base on an error in the fourth inning, causing Kyleigh Guerette (Merrimack, NH) to score for the Raiders increasing their lead to 5-2. The Lasers had the bases loaded in the bottom of the fourth and were able to collect four runs from two singles, a walk, and a sac fly.
- Greeno took the loss today for the Raiders. Eryn Sheeley was tagged with the win and recorded seven strikeouts for the Lasers.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Caetano was 2-for-4, with 1 RBI, 1 run, and a stolen base
- Panagiotopoulos was 1-for-4, with 2 RBIs
- Greeno was 1-for-1, with 1 RBI, 1 run, and a sac bunt
GAME TWO:
AUBURNDALE, MA: Rivier softball won against Lasell University today in their second game of the double header on the road in non-conference play.
THE BASICS:
- Date: 4/5/23
- Score: Rivier 3, Lasell 2
- Records: Rivier (5-13, 2-2 GNAC), Lasell (12-8, 2-0 GNAC)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Lasers got ahead early with a 2-0 lead in the first inning. Brianna Gendreau and Mackenzie Still each hit a single to left field causing two runs to score.
- No more runs were scored until the fifth inning when Rivier's Kylee Caetano (New Bedford, MA) launched the ball to right field scoring Kayla Miles (Londonderry, NH) and Avry Nelson (Methuen, MA).
- In the sixth inning, Nelson singled to center sending Olivia Couto (Fairhaven, MA) home, putting the Raiders ahead 3-2. Rivier was able to hold Lasell from scoring in the sixth and seventh inning.
- Nicole Verrette (Haverhill, MA) of the Raiders pitched the full seven innings, gaining the win. Abigail Fortin of the Lasers was recorded with the loss this evening.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

- Nelson was 1-for-3, with 1 RBI and 1 run
- Couto was 2-for-3, with 1 run
