GAME ONE:
WATERTOWN, MA: Rivier baseball lost to Lasell University today in conference play on the road.
THE BASICS:

- Records: Rivier (5-15, 2-3 GNAC), Lasell (12-8, 6-1 GNAC)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Raiders struggled on offense today. The Lasers were able to put a run on the board in the first inning due to an error and wild pitch.
- No runs were scored again until the fourth inning when Lasell's Owen Caldwell grounded out to the pitcher, giving Ross Audet enough time to cross the plate.
- With the bases loaded in the bottom of the fifth, Bryan Baumann of the Lasers was hit by a pitch, forcing in a run.
- In the sixth inning, the Raiders' Zachary White (Long Beach, CA) knocked in Frank Gulezian (Derry, NH) on a ground out to short stop.
- It was a scoreless seventh inning for both teams.
- Anthony Morro (Durham, CT) of Rivier was charged with the loss. Adam Marsh of Lasell earned the win, striking out nine batters.
GAME TWO:

- Records: Rivier (5-16, 2-4 GNAC), Lasell (13-8, 7-1 GNAC)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The game remained scoreless until the third inning when the Lasers scored on a sac fly.
- In the sixth inning, an unearned run was scored by Lasell from a single to right center.
- The Lasers made the score 3-0 in the bottom of the eighth from a well hit ball to third base.
- Rivier put up their first run of the game in the ninth inning, generated by Owen Medlock (Merrimack, NH) singling to center field which was unearned.
- Wesly Martinez (Methuen, MA) of the Raiders was tagged with the loss. Matthew Fletcher of Lasell had a day on the mound, pitching all nine innings, keeping the Raiders to six hits, and earning 15 strikeouts to get the win.
