Women's Volleyball Drops Final Two Matches of Springfield Invite

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Rivier women's volleyball team fell in its final two matches of the Springfield College Invitational on Saturday at Blake Arena, first to the host team before falling to Skidmore.

The Raiders dropped the morning contest to the Pride in straight sets, 18-25, 4-25, 11-25, before falling to the Thoroughbreds in the matinee by set scores of 18-25, 23-25, 17-25.

Through the two matches, Ryan Hicks dished out 32 assists and Callie Nanos registered 12 kills. Lily Sills was named to the All-Tournament Team for her 18 kill, 5 block weekend.

The Raiders will travel to Newport, R.I. on Saturday, Sept. 9 for a tri-match with Bridgewater St. and Salve Regina at the Rodgers Recreation Center.
