NASHUA, N.H. – Rivier women's basketball downed Framingham St. by a final score of 64-49 in non-conference action on Tuesday night at the Muldoon Center.

With a three-pointer in the first half of the contest, senior Alexa Dufries became the 19th member of the 1,000-point club.

The Raiders nabbed their second-straight win, improving to 2-5, while the Rams fell to 4-3.

Rivier got out to an 8-0 advantage with Dufries scoring the first six points. The visitors whittled their deficit down to three points on a Haselton layup, but senior Hannah Muchemore would follow that up with a three-pointer to make it 14-8. Dufries' driving layup in the final minute secured an eight-point lead for the Raiders following the first quarter.

The Raiders' lead ballooned to 22 in the first 3:06 of the second quarter with Dufries, Grumblatt, and first-year Sydney Perry helping Riv secure a 16-0 run over 3:44 of action. The Rams once again fought back to make it a 15-point game heading into halftime.

Framingham St. outscored the hosts, 19-10, in the third quarter to cut the Raiders' lead to six points.

Rivier's defense stepped up to the task in the final 10 minutes of regulation, limiting the Rams to nine points on 25% shooting. Leading by seven with 4:04 remaining, sophomore Alyssa Scharn drilled a three-pointer to push the lead to double-digits yet again. Grumblatt's triple with 50 seconds left put the Raiders up 62-47 before two free throws aside would conclude the scoring.

Grumblatt led the way with a 19-point, 13-rebound double-double along with three assists, one steal, and one block. Dufries buried 19 points as well on 7-of-14 (50%) shooting, hitting 4-of-8 from deep. Muchemore's 10 points rounded out the double-digit point scorers for Rivier while Perry scored eight points while going a perfect 6-for-6 from the stripe.
