WELLESLEY, Mass. – The Rivier women's volleyball team was bested on the road in non-conference action by Wellesley on Thursday night at the Dorothy Towne Fieldhouse.
The Raiders lost by set scores of 17-25, 14-25, 14-25 to drop to 1-3 as the Blue improved to 2-0.
Rivier was limited to a .011 hitting percentage in the defeat while Wellesley hit at a .320 clip.
First-year setter Lily Seibel posted a career-high 13 assists off the bench while sophomore libero Hannah Raab recorded a team-high 13 digs. Junior outside Ali Rivera posted eight kills in the contest while hitting at a .107 clip.
The Muldoon Center will be the site of Rivier's next two matches as the Raiders welcome Wentworth and Castleton to Nashua for a home tri-match on Saturday, Sept. 7. The first match against the Leopards will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by a matchup against the Spartans slated for 3:00 p.m.
