WINTHROP, Mass. – Rivier women's soccer sophomore Leah Morrier has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week after leading the Raiders to a perfect 2-0 record in conference play. She totaled eight points on four goals over that span.
Morrier scored twice in a 4-1 win over New England Col., with both goals coming in the second half.
In Saturday's match against the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.), the Plaistow, N.H., native recorded her fourth consecutive multi-goal game, netting two goals, including the game-winner.
Following her standout week, Morrier now ranks second in the GNAC with 14 goals on the season.
Morrier and the Raiders return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 22, as they host Nashua Youth Soccer Night at Joanne Merrill Field. They'll face GNAC opponent Colby-Sawyer, with kickoff set for 7:00 p.m.
