NASHUA, N.H. – The Raiders were picked sixth in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) preseason poll. Rivier men's basketball opens the season at home on Friday November 7, hosting non-conference opponent Fitchburg State at 7:00 p.m. at the Muldoon Center. 

LAST SEASON 

• The Raiders concluded last season in the GNAC Quarterfinals, falling to eventual champions, Saint Joseph (Conn.) 

• Head coach Tom Glynn guided Rivier to a 14-12 overall record and a 7-7 mark in GNAC play, securing the No. 6 seed and a second straight postseason appearance 

• Junior Robenson Baguidy finished fourth in the GNAC in assists per game with 4.4.Junior Robenson Baguidy 

• As a team, the Raiders averaged 78.5 points per game, shooting 45.0 percent from the field and 33.6 percent from three-point range 

• Defensively, Rivier logged 192 steals, averaging 7.4 per game, and recorded 69 blocks, averaging 2.6 per game 

CAPTAINS 

• The squad is led by captains Baguidy, Izaiah Shaw-Glen, and Jamari Williams comprised of five returners and 11 newcomers. 

NEWCOMERS  

• In the offseason, Coach Glynn announced the promotion of Bruce Marchand to Associate Head Coach. 

• The incoming class features five transfers and six first-year players. 

SCHEDULE  

• The Raiders' season begins at home against Fitchburg St. (11/7). 

• The first road game is scheduled for 11/10 against JWU (Providence). 

• GNAC play opens on 1/10 with a road matchup against Dean.  

• Youth Sports Day is set for 1/3 against Anna Maria. 

• Nashua Day will be celebrated on 1/17 with a matchup against Lasell.  

• A rematch of last season's GNAC Quarterfinals will occur on 1/31, as the team hosts Saint Joseph (Conn.) 

• The regular season is concluded on Senior Day against Emmanuel (Mass.).(2/21)
