NASHUA, N.H. – The Rivier women's ice hockey team was shutout Friday evening in a non-conference matchup with SUNY Potsdam at Conway Arena.
With the loss, the Raider fell to 5-4-0, while the Bears improved to 4-4-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Both squads battled in the opening frame, with Rivier holding a slight advantage in shots on target, 9-7.
- Despite both teams recording multiple chance, the contest remained scoreless after the first 20 minutes.
- The Bears broke the deadlock in the second period, tucking in a shot from the slot 6:25 into the frame.
- Potsdam recorded what would be the games' final tally with 8:43 remaining in the period.
- Down two in the final 20 minutes of action, the Raiders recorded 12 shots on goal, but were unable to convert, sealing the 2-0 victory for the Bears.
