NASHUA, N.H. – The Rivier baseball team fell to Nichols in its final non-conference game of the regular season on Wednesday afternoon at Harvey Woods Field by a final score of 9-1.
The Raiders dropped to 11-17 while the Bison improved to 17-14.
Rivier scored its only run in the top of the first on an RBI single from senior JD Normand. From there, the Bison put up nine unanswered runs, with a five-run fourth inning and a four-run eighth inning, to secure the victory.
Senior Jacob Boudreau went 2-for-3 for Rivier in the setback.
The Raiders will be back on the diamond at Harvey Woods Field on Thursday, April 24 for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) clash against Lasell. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
