WINTHROP, Mass. – Junior Kylee Caetano and graduate student Hannah Muchemore of the Rivier softball team have been named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) All-Conference Teams, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon.
Caetano was named to the GNAC All-Conference First Team for her efforts at second base. The New Bedford, Mass. native started in 34 games for the Raiders, slashing a .369 batting average, .492 slugging percentage, and a .426 on-base percentage, while contributing 45 hits, eight doubles, 27 RBI, and 28 runs scored. The third-year middle infielder recorded a fielding percentage of .910 on 80 putouts and 72 assists.
Muchemore received Third Team honors for her efforts at third base. In her first collegiate season, the Nashua, N.H. native started in 36 games for the Raiders, leading the team in batting average (.405), OPS (1.000), slugging percentage (.556), hits (51), RBI (36), triples (3), and home runs (2). Muchemore's .405 batting average ranked ninth in the GNAC, while her 51 hits were tied for seventh and her 36 RBI tied second in the conference. At the hot corner, Muchemore recorded a .913 fielding percentage while contributing 31 putouts and 42 assists.
