NASHUA, N.H. – The Rivier men's ice hockey team fell to a Massachusetts Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) opponent, Worcester St., 3-2, to conclude their season on Saturday night at Conway Arena.
With the result, the Raiders finish the season 2-22-1 (2-12-0 MASCAC), while the Lancers moved to 10-11-4 (3-8-3 MASCAC).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lancers opened scoring at 9:07 into the opening frame.
- Sophomore Anthony Dalessio leveled the game 1-1 off a setup from first-year Evan Miles and first-year Jacob Bodin at the 18:15 mark.
- The Raiders took the lead 2:02 into the second period, thanks to senior Carter Poulin finishing a feed from Miles.
- The Lancer found the equalizer late at the 17:35 mark to send the game tied 2-2 going into the final 20 minutes of play.
- The Lancers scored the go-ahead goal 7:46 into the third frame.
- Despite the Raiders' last effort to force OT by pulling the goalie with 2:20 left to play, it would not be enough.
