Women’s Basketball Drops Season Finale to Emmanuel (Mass.)

NASHUA, N.H. – The Rivier men's basketball team fell to Emmanuel (Mass.) 83-43, Saturday afternoon at the Muldoon Center.

With the loss, the Raiders end the 2025-26 season with a record of 2-23 (2-10 GNAC), while the Saints finish the regular season 19-6 (12-0 GNAC).

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Emmanuel (Mass.) opened the game on a 20-0 run over the first 5:17. Sophomore Gianna Donato ended the shutout for Rivier with a layup at the 5:01 mark.
  • Graduate student Juju Nealy knocked down a triple, followed by junior Emily Coleman hitting a jumper with 1:01 to play in the opening quarter.
  • The Saints closed the period with a 32-9 lead, shooting 56.5% from the field.
  • Emmanuel (Mass.) used a 19-2 run to extend the margin to 41 points, their largest lead of the half.
  • A late layup by Donato for the Raiders brought the halftime score to 51-12 in favor of the Saints.
  • Emmanuel (Mass.) continued its offensive progression, outscoring Rivier 19-14 in the third quarter.
  • Sophomore Hannah Smith and Coleman made back-to-back jump shots to open the quarter for the Raiders.
  • Junior Erika Fantauzzi and Donanto recorded threes each at the end of the third to cut the deficit to 70-26.
  • Rivier opened the final period with its best scoring run of the game, an 8-0 stretch, that was capped off by a three from Nealy, that cut the deficit to 73-34 with 7:10 remaining.
  • Emmanuel (Mass.) responded by outscoring the Raiders 10-9 over the final minutes. The game concluded with an 83-43 final score.
