HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Both teams went back and forth, with neither side able to register a shot to open the contest. Following the goal, each side recorded one shot each however, the score remained unchanged heading into the second stanza.
  • Following a green card for Worcester St. to begin the second, the Lancers logged two shots. The Raiders countered with a long possession that began with five penalty corners and ended with first-year Kali Judkins connecting with Spinelli to take a 2-0 lead.
  • Worcester St. pushed the pace right out of the break, logging two shots before cutting Rivier's lead to one 5:53 into the third. The Lancers continued to threaten in the offensive half, nearly tying the game however, first-year goalkeeper Tatum Flanagan denied them the opportunity. Each side recorded a shot down the stretch, but the score held firm at 2-1 heading into the fourth quarter.
