BEVERLY, Mass.- The Rivier women's soccer team fell 2-1 to Endicott in its 2026 season opener Wednesday evening at Hempstead Stadium.
With the result, the Raiders dropped to 0-1-0 overall (0-0-0 GNAC), while the Gulls open their campaign 1-0-0 (0-0-0 CNE).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Raiders opened the scoring early, as Leah Morrier won a battle in the corner before finding the back of the net to give Rivier a 1-0 lead.
- Olivia Rosario made the first save of the game in the 21st minute.
- Endicott responded off a corner kick, as a Gulls header found the back of the net to even the score at 1-1 in the 25th minute.
- The Gulls took the lead midway through the second half, scoring following a scramble in front of the net to make it 2-1.
- Both teams looked to add to the scoring late, but strong play from both goalkeepers kept the score at 2-1 through the final whistle.
