Rivier University

John Grayson begins his third season as an assistant coach with the Rivier University men’s soccer program in 2023. 

Grayson is well-known in the soccer community, having competed and coached across multiple continents. He had the opportunity to compete in the northeast of England in semi-pro leagues.  

When Grayson is not with the Raiders, he serves as the technical director for Parkway Youth Soccer starting in 2006, clinician for Cambridge Youth Soccer beginning in 2008, clinician for Lexington United Soccer Club staring in 2017, and goalkeeper clinician for MASS Athlete Performance since 2019. 

Grayson’s coaching career started in 1986 assisting as a part-time youth leader in Nottinghamshire, England. From 1996 to 2002 Grayson earned the title of director of camps for Major League Soccer. In 1997, he worked as residential coaching consultant for Medway Youth Soccer Academy. Grayson was player development officer for Westford Youth Soccer Academy from 1998 to 1999, Marblehead Youth Soccer Academy in 1999, and Sharon Youth Soccer Academy from 2000 to 2001.
