SOCCER
Rob Ciarlo enters his second season at the helm of the Raiderssoccer and baseball programs.
A native of Waterbury, Conn., Ciarlo is a 1988 graduate of NewHampshire College (now Southern New Hampshire University) where heearned a degree in Business Administration and was a varsityletter-winner for the Penmen program.
Ciarlo got his coaching start in 1985 at Merrimack High Schoolin Merrimack, N.H. He moved on to the Northeast Soccer Clubtraveling to England and Wales in 1989. While completing hismaster's degree in sports administration from Saint ThomasUniversity (Miami, Fla.) in 1990, he spent one season coachingat Gulliver Prep in Miami.
Ciarlo moved on to the University of Rhode Island where heserved three seasons (1990-92) as Assistant Coach and also coachedwith the Rhode Island Olympic Development program for two years. In1991 he attained the first of his three coaching licenses, aNational Diploma from the National Soccer Coaches Association ofAmerica (NSCAA). He followed that up with an Advanced NationalDiploma in 1992. In 1996, he garnered a National "B" License fromthe United States Soccer Federation (USSF).
Ciarlo was later named Head Coach at Curry College in Milton,Mass. in 1992, where he also started coaching with the Spirit ofMassachusetts Girls Soccer Club. He was promoted to Director ofCoaching in 1995 for the Spirit of Massachusetts club, servinguntil 1997. While overseeing the club program, he moved on toaccept a position as Assistant Coach at Salem State College(1994-95).
Ciarlo settled in New Hampshire in 1999, where he became HeadCoach of the Hesser College men's soccer program, serving twoseasons. In 2004 and 2005 he coached the Girls Varsity team atWinnacunnet High school.
Ciarlo spent the past 2 seasons as an Assistant at DanielWebster College. He also coaches with the Inter Soccer Club ofBoston.
BASEBALL
Rob Ciarlo played for 5 years for the Litchfield Bisonwhere he was voted rookie of the year. Ciarlo lead theteam in walks, on-base % and stolen bases. He played multiplepositions including third base, second base andoutfield. He was a team player, filling whateverspot was necessary.
Ciarlo coached 2 years of high school baseball at EppingHigh School (Epping, NH). In only his second year atthe helm, the team made it into the New Hampshire class Mtournament. Coach Ciarlo also coached at the BromfieldSchool (Harvard, MA) for one season and Merrimack High School(Merrimack, NH) for 2 seasons prior to attending graduate school.
Ciarlo currently resides in Chester, N.H.
