Nashua, NH - Norwich (13-1-1) who holds the top seed in the
Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) wasted little time and
effort against the Rivier College Raiders (0-14-0) today as they
defeated Rivier 8-0.
The starters for Norwich got things going early as they scored
three goals in the first 10 minutes of play, and the team had seven
goals before the half. During the first half of play Norwich
subbed out most of the starters, but Rivier still had no answer as
eight different players scored the eight goals for Norwich.
Ryan Boyton (Dunedin, FL) led the Cadets by assisting on the first
three goals scored and then scoring on the fifth goal of the
contest. Jason Bliss (St. Albans, VT) also had one goal and
one assist.
Rivier goalkeeper John Jarvis (St. Albans, VT)
once again made a number of remarkable saves, stopping 13 of the
Cadets 21 shots on goal.
