Nashua, NH - The last home match of the 2008 season ended by
saying goodbye and good luck to four seniors on the men's soccer
team today. The athletic department and coaching staff would
like to express its gratitude to the following seniors:
Jason Antaya: Jason is a first year player who
took the challenge of lacing up his soccer spikes for one more
strike at the ball. Jason balanced a hectic class and study
schedule with the team training schedule. He played outside
midfield, outside back and front runner for the 2008 team.
Matty Blair: The roar of the crowd when
Matty steps onto the field, he instills pride and a sense of
reality to the season. the joy when Matt scored his first
ever collegiate goal will live in infamy at Rivier College. Matty
balances soccer with class work and working as a resident
assistant.
Robbie Belcher: The elder statesman, Robbie has
a great wealth of soccer knowledge and experiences. Robbie has
played at a high level and challenges each and every teammate to
play to the best of their ability. Robbie is an education
major, he will excel in the classroom just as he has excelled on
the soccer pitch.
Phil Ramos: Phil has also played multiple
positions for this year's edition of the Rivier Raiders. Phil
started the year as a free running forward attacking goal and
shooting on net at will. Phil has most recently been playing
as a marking back. His ability to get forward and become part
of the attack has been welcome. Phil is a psychology major.
