New Haven, CT - Albertus Magnus College won their first GNAC match-up of the season today by defeating Rivier College 1-0 in a 2 overtime defensive battle.  It took until the 102nd minute when Albertus' Brittany Collard finally scored the game winner on a penalty kick.

Rivier's Meg Hickey led the Raiders with 3 shots on goal, but couldn't convert on any attempts as Albertus goalkeeper Christina Oddo made all 6 saves that were shot in her direction.  Rivier's Brittany Puleo was also outstanding in the net with 6 saves of her own on 7 shot attempts.  Both goalkeepers played all 102 minutes of the game.
