The Raiders (8-5; 1-1) shot a sizzling 58% from the field in the first half and took a 1 point lead into the break. Riv failed to convert at the charity stripe in the second half (56% for the game) and gave Emerson too many easy buckets from offensive rebounds to pull out the win.
 
Riv placed 4 players in double figures led by the reigning GNAC Player of the Week, junior Jess Mellen. Mellen dropped in 21 points to go with 8 rebounds and 4 helpers. Junior Monica White played her best all-around game of the season as she chipped in with 12 points (on 5 of 8 shooting), 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Freshman Allie Parent followed up a career game on Saturday afternoon with a 14 point, 4 rebound and 4 assist effort tonight. Freshman Danielle Stoodley dropped in a career-high 13 points. Stoodley also pulled down 6 rebounds and had 2 assists.
