Riv's first half defense was on-point as they held the high-scoring Ram offense to just 17 points on 25% shooting from the floor. The Raiders offense countered with 43 points of their own (on 45% shooting). Suffolk made a game of it in the final stanza as they held Riv to 22 points on 24% shooting. The Raiders made just enough free throws down the stretch to pick up the program's first-ever win against Suffolk.
 
Riv was led by freshman Allie Parent and junior Jess Mellen. Parent tied her career-high with 18 points (8-10 from the charity stripe) to go with 10 rebounds and 3 steals. Mellen chipped in with a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds. Junior Monica White tallied 8 points and 4 rebounds. Sophomores Kelsy LaRose and Steph Adams provided huge minutes off the bench as they combined for 9 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists and just 1 turnover.
