The Raiders (11-5; 3-1), off to it's best start ever, used 36
minutes of full court pressure to pull out a 16 point win at home.
Riv forced the Falcons into 37 turnovers which resulted in 36
transition points. The Raiders also shot 53% from the floor in the
final stanza as well as 86% from the charity stripe to help put the
game out of reach.
Riv was led by the second consecutive double-double from junior
Jess Mellen and freshman Allie
Parent. Mellen dropped in 16 points and grabbed 11
rebounds while contributing 5 assists and a game-high 5 steals.
Parent chipped in with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Senior
Justine Nims played huge for the Blue and Gray as
she had 15 points, 8 rebounds, 3 steals and a game-high 6 assists.
Junior Blair Carpenter dropped in a game-high 23
points. Freshman Danielle Stoodley played well off
the bench as she chipped in with 4 points, 4 assists and 2 steals.
