Riv came out of the gates strong and actually held a 5-point lead with 9:23 left to go in the first half. The Bantoms finished the half on an 8-0 run, went into the locker room with an eleven point lead and never looked back. The Raiders were twice able to cut the lead to 10 points in the final stanza but missed free throws and a couple of costly turnovers killed any hopes of a comeback.

Senior Jess Mellen (Rockland, MA) and freshman Mackenzie Brooks (Colebrook, NH) led the way as they combined for 22 points and 15 rebounds (10 offensive). Junior Steph Adams (Nashua, NH) and sophomore Amandra Purcell (Hudson, NH) gave quality minutes as they chipped in with 15 points, 10 rebounds and 3 steals. Freshman Sarah Howard (East Greenwich, RI) came off the bench and again gave provided a spark for the Blue and Gray.

The Raiders have one game left before semester break. Riv finishes their December homestand as they host Fisher College on Saturday. Game time-1pm.
